Privacy Policy

1. Information We Collect

Collectors App does not collect or transmit personal information to any server we operate. All data you enter — item names, descriptions, photos, prices, and custom categories — is stored locally on your device using the browser's localStorage or the native app's local storage.

The only data that ever leaves your device is data you explicitly choose to sync to a third-party cloud service you control (see Section 3).

2. Data Stored Locally on Your Device

The following is stored on your device only:

• Your collection items (names, descriptions, barcodes, photos, prices, dates)
• Custom item types and brands you have created
• App settings and preferences (theme, sort order, etc.)
• API keys you optionally enter for third-party services (Google Vision, Google Drive, OneDrive)
• OAuth tokens for optional cloud sync (stored locally, never sent to our servers)

You can delete all locally stored data at any time by clearing the app's storage in your device settings or using the Export / Clear option within the app.

3. Optional Cloud Sync

Collectors App offers optional integration with third-party cloud storage services:

• Google Drive — if enabled, your collection is backed up to a file in your personal Google Drive account
• Microsoft OneDrive — if enabled, your collection is backed up to your personal OneDrive account

These integrations are entirely optional and disabled by default. When enabled, your data is sent directly to your own cloud account using the official APIs of those services. We do not have access to your cloud account or the files stored there.

Your use of Google Drive or OneDrive is governed by Google's and Microsoft's own privacy policies, respectively.

4. Optional AI Features

Collectors App optionally supports Google Cloud Vision API for identifying items from photos. This feature:

• Requires you to supply your own Google Cloud API key
• Is disabled by default and only activates when you provide a key
• Sends the photo image to Google's Vision API for analysis — subject to Google's privacy policy
• Does not send any other collection data or personal information

5. Camera and Photo Library Access

The app requests camera and photo library access solely to let you attach photos to your collection items. Photos are stored locally on your device. They are only uploaded to a cloud service if you have enabled one of the optional sync features described above.

6. Analytics and Tracking

Collectors App does not include any analytics SDK, crash reporter, advertising network, or tracking technology. We do not know how you use the app, how many items you have, or anything about your collection.

7. Children's Privacy

Collectors App does not knowingly collect any information from anyone under the age of 13. The app contains no features that require account creation or any form of personal data submission.

8. Changes to This Policy

If we make material changes to this privacy policy, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
